to be able to look forward to good weather the last of March, and then your snowdrops, crocuses, etc. will be blossoming. I do hope that you will have good spring weather so that you can get out doors and get a little enjoyment seeing things coming up. I hope, however, that you won't work too hard planting and setting things out.

Did Maud's poppies do well last year? I still have some seeds which I had hoped I might have a place for, but I am almost discouraged about ever locating the kind of little house I want. Ira would like to get out into the country, and I thought perhaps she could get a place big enough so that I could have some housekeeping rooms with her, but as yet nothing has been settled, though we did see a good place. It turned out, however, to cost much more than we planned on.

I have been having two rather miserable days, but to-night I am feeling more like myself. I guess I was a little bilious. I have taken a little soda several times to-day and I guess that helped me. I hope that you and Mr. Holmes have escaped the colds that are going around. For once Miss Garland came back from her vacation without one, thanks be!

Mrs. Pettengill's daughter expects another baby in April. I am ever so glad. I hope Doris and family are well.

Love and all good wishes,
Lena.
