    This agreement made and entered into
this the 27th day of June eighteen hundred
and sixty-five between Richard Boyd
of the first part and the parties whose names
are hereto undersigned freedmen all of
Yazoo County and State of Mississippi
Witnesseth that whereas the party of the first
part hath employed and contracted with the
party of the Second part to cultivate his
plantation in Said county and state called
and known as Richards Boyds place for the
year one thousand eight hundred and
sixty-five Noow he the party of the
first part doth agree to and with the said
parties of the second part that he will furnish
to each sufficient and comfortable clothing
sufficient and wholesome food propper medicals
attention and medicines in case of sickness
good and suitable quarters with a tenement
to each family and sufficient  ground for
gardens as well as the use of the necessary
impliments and teams to cultivate the same
and he the party of the first part doth agree
to conform to the regulations of the U.S. Government
in his treatment and management of said parties
