Yazoo County Miss

This Indenture made and entered into this the 26th day of June 1865 between Henry Starn Jr party of the first part and George Thompson (freedman) and Silva Thompson his wife party of the second part witnesseth- that said Starn covenants and agrees to observe the rules and regulations, relative to the employment of freedmen, issued from department Head Quarters; to furnish wholesome food clothing quarters and medical attendance and in short act in strict accordance with the orders above referred to.  That the said Thompson and his wife do here by covenant and agree to well and faithfully perform the duties incumbent upon them as feed hand and cooks; to be prompt active and energetic in the discharge of such duties; to be quick and orderly in their deportment and to be obedient to the named corn wants of said Starn.  In witness where of one have signed our names the year month and day above [[strikethrough]]d[[/strikethrough]] mentioned.
