Memorandum of agreement between Mrs Lou Gibbs and the freedmen whose names are affixed to this memorandum and who are employed by her to cultivate her plantation Known as Woodbins Plantation situated in Yazoo County State of Mississippi 
  Witnesseth that whereas said plantation has been registered as is shown by the "agreement of Registry", to which this is annexed and whereas in concordance with the provisions of Article VIII of the Regulations approved to said "agreement of Registry", she and they have a right to make a special contract, the said parties have made the following agreement.  In place of any wages that are due or as may become due under said "agreement of Registry", from Mrs Lou Gibbs, to said to receive. She agreed to pay over to them, when the crop is made and put in a marketable condition, the net proceeds of thirty acres of cotton now in cultivation on said plantation, in what is known as the "Lockbart field."  She also agrees to permit them and their families and other helpless freedmen on her plantation, with sufficient clothing food, quarters, medicine, and medical attention & fuel.  It is understood that the net proceeds of the thirty acres of cotton aforesaid is not to be charged with any of the necessary expenses of said employee.  It is to be divided among them according to clarification -  Class No. 1 to receive one full share - Class No. 2 & 3. one half share -
