Articles of agreement made & entered into this 28th day of June A.D. Eighteen hundred & sixty five between Seborne Collins of the first part, & the following named negroes (formerly the property of the Sd. Collins) [[?]]: George, Peter, Dick, Daniel, Annie, Nancy, Long Jude, Bis-Jude, Ann, Adeline, Amy, Bob, Nelson, Gilbert & Cuba, of the second part: Witnesseth, that the sd party of the first part agrees to & with the sd. party of the second part that for & in consideration of their good deportment & faithful discharge of duty during the ensueing year, to furnish the sd. party of the second part Quarters, Rations, fuel, clothing, medical attentions & C. as heretofore, & give them fifteen acres of corn, An acre of potatoes a year old hod apiece (except Minors) & allow them all their own patches as they may desire: And the said party of the second part agrees to & with sd. party of the [[crossed out]] second [[/crossed out]] first part that they will faithfully execute all orders of the sd. party of the first part as heretofore for & during the remainder of the said year in the cultivation & gathering the crops, & discharge all their duties on the plantation of the sd. party of the first part, preparatory to the making of another crop, that may be required. Settlement to be made on the first day of January 1866 or as soon as the crops are all gathered
