Memorandum of an agreement made this first day of June 1865, between Mr Lennon Polk of Lawrence County, of Widow Polk's Plantation State of Mississippi and Walker of Lawrence County of Widow Polk's Plantation State of Mississippi:

WITNESSETH, That said Walker for the consideration hereinafter mentioned, agrees to remain on said Plantation and work the balance of the year 1865. excepting, only Saturday afternoons and Sundays,

And the said Lennon Polk for the consideration herein before mentioned, agrees to furnish to the said Walker, two good suits of clothes, good and wholesome food in sufficient quantity, quarters, medical attendance, and twenty bushels of corn, beside the products of his, (Walkers) patch of two acres more or less.
