We the undersigned Freedmen", laboring on the plantation of Mr. Jos. S. Baskin, do agree to stay with him for the rest of this year (except in Fodder Season) for our victuals, clothes, taxes, and medical attention.

In "Fodder Season" the men are allowed eight dollars per month, the women five, and boys and girls fourteen three dollars per month, extra

In consideration of the above contract we have affixed our names and made our marks.
