State of Mississippi Leake Co June 15th 1865

Articles of Agreement between S.T. Luse of the first part and the following named negroes of the second part towit Nat man 65 years John 50 years Charles 12 years Feby woman 60 years Dicy 45 years Margaret 30 years Lue and Charity 19 years each Liddy 18 years Dinah 12 years

The said Luse agrees to furnish food and clothing medical attention and nersing as heretofore (in consequence of having no cotton planted by which he could attain money the present year) and further should he retain then after this year he agrees to pay them such wages as may be determened by law or as is the custom of the Country or assist them in procureing proper homes elswhere. He also agrees to allow them one half of each saturday and the whole of sunday

for and in consideration of the above agreement we agree to perform good and faithful labour and cary out faithfully the orders and advice of the said Luse
