to embrace all, both field hands & house servants, who are of sufficient age, to render good service in the field and in the house. 
The party of the second part, agree & bind themselves, to remain on said plantation, till the close of the present year. To be obedient, conduct themselves with propriety, to labor regularly, & faithfully at such business, both in the field, and in the house, as may be assigned to each by the manager or foreman, and in all respects, to attend to the business of the place as they have been accustomed to do, in former times.
