Memorandum of a agreement between Jno S Chandler and the laborers contained in the annexed list list for their services for the remainder of the year 1865 -

The said Chandler on his part bargains and agrees in consideration of the services of said laborers from the present date 21st of June to the 31st December 1865 to pay to them the said laborers one fifth part of the corn, fodder, Peas Potatoes cotton & wheat now growing on the farm Said Chandler to be equitably divided among said laborers- according to classification - and to furnish them with houses - fuel food, clothing medical attention - and the said laborers on their part bargain & agree to use proper diligence - industry & faithfulness in the cultivation of the growing crops on the farm of said Chandler & the gathering and preservation thereof - 
To do & perform all labor necessary for the use & benefit of said farm to take proper care of all stock of said [[ink blot-illegible]] care of all stock of said farm and [[ink blot-illegible]] any duty devolving on them as true & faithful laborers as witness our hands and seals this 21st day of June 1865
