Harris Plantation
Lowndes Co. Miss June 27th 1865

We the undersigned negro men in the service of Wm.H. Harris Esq do hereby agree upon the part of ourselves & families to remain upon this Plantation, and to render the same labor which heretofore has been required of us — Subject to the same Rules, and Regulations until Christmas, Dec 25th 1865. — And I Wm.H. Harris for and in consideration of the above do hereby agree and bind myself to feed and clothe the said Negro Men & their families — to furnish Houses, fuel &c, aid in case of sickness all necessary medical Attention. And I furthermore agree to allow the said Negro Men to cultivate certain portions of land for their own exclusive benefit, and to cut
