Mrs Ann Worthington And Ben Mingo have agreed to Cultivate a crop of cotton & corn in partnership this year upon Mrs Worthingtons "Leola" plantation upon the following terms to Wit-
The said Mrs. Worthington is to furnish the use of the land that the crop is to be produced upon, all the farming utensils that are necessary, a comfortable house for Ben Mingo and his family with a garden lot for same, and comfortable houses and garden lots for the hands employed, and firewood for Ben Mingo and his family and the hands which they are to cut and haul for themselves, and she is also to furnish the use of her Gin house and machinery and fuel for the engine to prepare the crop for market.
Ben Mingo is to furnish every thing else that is necessary to produce said crop, the mules, provisions and labor, but all the mules or other stock furnished by him for that purpose is to be his individual property.
The crop of cotton & corn & fodder is to be divided equally between the said Mrs Worthington & the said Ben Mingo.
This agreement reduced to writing this day was made on the first day of January A.D. 1865 and is to continue until the first day of January A.D. 1866 unless the crop is sooner gathered. Executed in Duplicate this 15th day of May A.D. 1865
