Went to Mr Phillips saw him for a moment He gave me a photograph Called at the Adams House to see Mrs Keckley but she had left for Salem Went to Addie's met Cornelius Lennox heard from him of Mr Watson's first wife coming in to claim a portion of the property. It seems so romantic that her existence was never heard of and now her Child's right will certainly be respected equally with Anna Watson's

Matthews called this morning while I was reading spoke of Pat K.

In afternoon went to the State House to Mr Hayden. Home and sewed until late. Mr Chas. Johnson sent me some ice cream
Mr & Mrs Morris left for France today from New York
