Dear Folks:

Yesterday I was in such a hurry to get the money off to you that I didn't have time to write about the other things that I wanted to write about. I was tremendously surprised to hear about Doris's baby, although you did say that you thought perhaps she might be going to have one. I think that both of them will enjoy the baby, even though she will cause them to give up some of their tramps etc. for a while. I certainly should like to see the little one. When is Doris coming home? I am wondering if she and Sid wouldn't be interested in a Dodge Sedan which some people in Stoneham are going to sell for $450. They are friends of Miss Garland and the Pettingills. They never drive the car in the winter time, and very little even in the warm months. It is just about the same as new. He is an old man and doesn't drive, and she is an invalid now and so can't. They are people with money and keep the car in their own garage during the whole year. It ought to be much more roomy and easier riding than even a new Ford, I should think. I think also that there is a possibility that they might sell somewhat cheaper than they say. I thought I would write about it now in ease in ease Sid and Doris are thinking about buying a new car, as I should think that they would have to with a new baby to carry with them on trips. I wish that I felt that I could afford to purchase it myself, for it certainly is an extraordinary value-- not for the year, but for the car in the good condition it is in. Mr. Pettingill is agent for the Dodge; and is considered an excellent mechanic; and he also knows all about how this car has been used; and the condition it is in. He thinks
