out the trees just as soon as he got home. I guess it was his last chance this year. He thought it was good of you to give them to him.

I had a good time Thanksgiving. Did you folks get a good fricassee out of the turkey? I made some water bread Sunday, and in spite of the fact that it baked on the bottom of the kettle before I got it into the pans, it was good. 

To-day I made two mince pies for Mrs. Pettenzill (out of her mince meal). She has been sick; and one apple for myself.

I didn't have to go to school to-day, hurrah!!

The box also came to-day. Thanks ever so much.  I see it came by express. Why didn't you send it C.O.D.?  You will say you have forgotten how much you paid for it by the time I get out again.  Please remember especially this time.

I wondered if you had been sick, or if anything had happened.  I knew you planned to send the
