hat. I gave her a little white waist that I had when in college to go with it. It was one of which I was very fond but had not worn for a long time because of the short sleeves. Then I cut over one of Florences' old waists into a blouse for Langdon - Ralph's 5-year-old son - so, with my blueberry picking and sundry other performances, I feel I have done something. 

Some time this week we are going to try to get lawyer Perkins down here and settle the question of the farms. Ralph doesn't feel that he can buy Eliz- off now, but is willing to let her have the two houses on the old home place with about an acre of land besides. As the whole place was valued at only $1300, I think that pretty good: don't you?
