if my answering the lady's inquiries was later resented.

Miss Haslett and Miss Putnam gave notice this after-noon that they were leaving Mrs. Powers' for my place and then they got theirs, so you see we do not lack for excitement or prices as I paid 20¢ to a fruitman for 6 bruised apples this P.M. while apples all about are rotting on the ground. Next time I intend to take a bag in my pocket à la Doris and procure my fruit at a lower price.

Last night I was over to see the girls and they were highly entertained by Miss Readbetter's exploits. They recommend them as grin producers.

Dear Folks:
You are probably in bed if not asleep and I plan soon to be there but I am going to write a bit any way. I am just home from the class in American Citizenship. Miss Haslett and Miss Putnam out to-night for the movies. I was inclined that way but am glad I decided in favor of the straight and narrow path for I do not care for the smells they possibly had while the class had a bit of life.
