from them, but it was so general he couldn't ignore it.  My class room procedure was good, etc., etc.  I told him that there was nothing to say, that I had done my best for them.  I passed in my resignation, Dec. 7.  He wasn't looking for that, and didn't want it, so I said I would let it go for the present, but discipline was going to the dogs with his listening to children - whom I didn't know about, making complaints - about things I didn't know about - I couldn't stand the idea of going on, so last Monday I wrote him a letter telling him I still felt that I didn't want to continue my work in the Stoneham High School.  He was surprized that I wasn't letting the matter rest, but that time passed my resignation to the board who released me, as I asked, Dec. 31.  One one week more!!
