escape unscathed.  We both had to shed our night gowns and as I had only the one here I slept in my kimona.  We kept making discoveries.  The floor was wet of course, then the walls appeared drenched and lastly inspection of the ceiling revealed the fact that it had not been omitted in the general sprinking.  Last night I dreamed of geysers.

Date Faucy has returned perhaps.  At least I received a picture of him taken last Aug. in Paris.  It was sent from Berlin, New Hampshire, but it does not seem to be in his writing so I am not sure whether he sent it or whether his folks did but I think he did.
