board of superintendents to take the examinations, that a special delivery letter telling me of the fact was to be mailed to me that night.  It came about 11 o'clock after I had gone to bed.  I studied Sat. & Sun. and took the Exams Mon. and taught school Mon. evening.  I was somewhat tired and threw up my milk Tuesday night, Miss Sutherland said she thought I must have an ostrich stomach, I wa so all in.  I ate some beef pot pie at one of the restaurants whidh seemed to poison me a few days before so I suppose that helped too.

Now I don't want cereal or bread but have eaten some steak, chops and spinach and last night and to-night stew so you see

I am getting nourishment enough.  

Don't tell this so Betty Vanstar's sister will get hold of it in a round about way as she would worry, but Betty has been real ill.  She stayed home Monday - had the docter - had been ill two days then I believe.  Tues. morning she felt better but was so uncomfortably warm that she thought a cool bath would refresh her so she tried one - fainted or lost consciousness - a kind of heart attack apparently - fell and hit her head, back and bruised herself generally so she now has the doctor every day and a trained nurse.
