Monday Night.

Dear Folks:

The 9:30 train has just gone down, but I am going to write you a bit before I repose "upon my downy couch".

Your letters came to-day. I am glad that Doris had a good trip and Mrs. Holmes a good ride in and out of Boston. I guess Doris was not any too pleased to see Chippie, however.

Wasn't it good about Ralph's staying with his mother? Now I hope that a good permanent arrangement can be made between

Considering all the wonderful flowers, I felt quite honored. The service as a beautiful one, - prayer, and readings, and singing by a glorious quartette at both the house and grave. I will tell you more about it when I see you.

Helen Hewitt was married last Thursday. The boys were terribly upset about it. She did not let them know until the day before, I believe. She sails in the bridal suite of the Mauretania for Europe to-morrow when announcements are to be made public. I wonder if you will see it in the society news. Her husband is Bayle (Baiae) or some such name. He has an income of $2000 or $3000 a month, I believe. Not bad in addition to Helen's income, is it? They are to be met at a French port with a specially made auto. They tour for a while and finally arrive at his castle on Lake Geneva. I wonder if it is all real! More some other time,

Lena.
