Wednesday Evening.

Dear Folks:

Your letters came Monday as usual.  It seems to be getting cold in Washington as well as here but to-day has been wonderful.  I slept for about 2 1/2 hours this P.M. and then Melba and I went to Silver Hill for a walk.  We brought home bunches of autumn leaves and I also got two sprays of asparagus - one yellow, the other green.  I put them into a glass in the bath tub and they look very pretty against their white backgrounds. I thought that I might take them to school to-morrow.

Last Saturday I went to Boston on the very train with about a dozen girls; some then had gone by themselves in the morning.  Miss O'Connell met us in Boston.  We all went to all "The Taming of the Shrew" in the P.M. Miss O'Connell then took all
