Dear Folks:

This week again I skipped writing to you, but I won't to-day.

Yesterday morning I went to Boston to another convention but it was not very interesting so I did not go back in the after-noon but went up to see Daisy instead. I spent Monday night before election with her, too. I suppose you are very much gratified with the results of the same.

I wanted to hear what Kidger had to say at our class Wednesday night but I had a bad headache so went to bed instead of going. It makes two lessons I have missed.

I met Miss Orr on [[?]] Street yesterday. She is looking terribly, - years older than she did in the spring.  She says that Miss Leadbetter is treating her horribly but that she stands up to her. It may be, but she certainly shows what she is going

I was willing to attend them and give them advice and help but not to discipline or take charge. I told them that I had been amused at the proceedings of the last one, and read them some rules governing parliamentary proceedings, pointing out to them that if they wanted informal discussion some one should [[strikethrough]] have [[/strikethrough]] make a motion to that effect which should be duly seconded and voted upon. Then we proceeded with our lessons. One boy was reciting and the others listening calmly when Mr. Bates came in with some supplies. He has been rather offish all week until Friday night when he came in and chatted as he sometimes does until five or after, so, whatever was chewing him, he apparently decided to overlook.

I got picked up on the road to South Acton
