with Mr. M, I should go to him myself but I detest the old eagle beak, preferring Mr. B. in spite of his passing of the buck to me. Mr. B. laughed the whole matter off saying he had managed to wash his hands of it for five years, but he will do some kicking if his classes are upset for the old machine just the same. I have made him do several things lately [[strikethrough]] though [[/strikethrough]] and refused to do one of two things myself and sometimes feel like throwing the whole job at the man's head. The pictures Monday were so poor that they really almost the same as parodied Romeo and Juliet which they showed.

I am taking emulsion and drinking milk. I ought to get fat. The baby had a temperature of 103 the other day. Her mother does not arrange for enough sleep for her, I think.

I have bought you some cuff links which I hope you will like and not lose in a hurry as they are double-headers. They are not solid, though, so if you should miss one, it wouldn't be any crying matter.

I am glad Doris and Sid are enjoying themselves. I hope that they won't have any more sickness.

I saw Daisy last week in Boston. I have got to go in again this Saturday to the dentist's also. I have not yet gone to see Mrs. Barker.

Now take care of yourselves and keep well.

I hope the coal grows better as you dig deeper.

Love, Lena.
