Monday Night,

Dear Folks:

I am at school waiting for
the children to come for rehearsal so will scribble a few words to you.

Yesterday I had an acute attack of pain in my back and shoulder so couldn't do much but read and lie in bed. I am having rehearsals, three and four a week.

Tuesday morning 6-15
I am up and all ready for breakfast so will continue this. Last night I got
home about quarter of ten from rehearsal after nearly dying, the thing went so poorly and the blessed kids were so bland about it - not all of them but most, I am on the war path now. I intend to draft one or two for study of parts after school to-night, visit the mother of another to get her to help him and get after Mr. Bates to let up on baseball practice and to let me send to Boston for a coach for the final rehearsals.
