letters to Miss Anslow, Miss Fogarty and Miss Conner telling them that I had given them as references and asking them to recommend me if they got the blanks in so far as they honestly could. Next I went to the ten cent store and got the dish cloths. I also got some candy for Elizabeth - somewhat over a pound and she is well on the way to making herself sick I am afraid.

After I got back to the station I got the addresses out of my suit case and mailed all: then came back and got onto the train, where I ate my lunch. My head promptly began to ache a bit but this morning I feel better. Elizabeth is going up to the village so I am hurrying this and one to Daisy to send by her. There is a fair on this P.M. and I may go.

A man stopped here last night who told us of a place about 3 miles above here where the bushes are black with berries. He said 25 bushels could be picked there. I am crazy to go but don't know how I shall get there.

Love,
Lena
