I wonder what you have been doing to-day?

Last night I went down and bought some canned corn, peas and chicken. The chicken cost 63 cents and was N.G. The peas were nothing extra. I should be glad to get back to Mrs. Cole's to-morrow.

I also bought some pretty Christmas cards and stickers - the latter all stuck together - I was thinking of taking them back and sticking them onto the manager's head.

Mrs. Hodges brought me up some beans last night and mashed potato and stuffing which tasted like scalloped oysters this noon and to-night she donated a piece of chocolate Washington pie. I also got my first pint of milk to-day [[strikethrough]] also [[/strikethrough]]. She has also given me a cod liver oil preparation the nurse some kind of disinfectant and you the rhinitis.

The lunch last Sunday night was good!

Best wishes,
Lena.
