The paper prophesies rain for tomorrow and it really looks like it. The other morning I woke up and it was raining hard. I got up and mopped up the floor and closed my south window. This is April all right.

Would you like to come up to Maynard the 19th? I will send you my trip ticket to Silver Hill if you would? Perhaps you would like it later better, but I don't know.

I wish you were here now to hear Mr. Hodgers' mother downstairs. She is excited all right. She is just home from Methodist Conference in Malden. Apparently something happened to stir her up. The whole family dislike the present incumbent and hope for a new, but hardly expect a change.

I hope housecleaning is not too strenuous for your own good this year.

Best wishes,
Lena.
