Dear Folks
After another cold day and night it has begun to moderate so Mrs Osborne went downtown to pay the tel + electric light bills this being the last day of January. she said her eyes ran a stream + her hands + ears most froze. she got us both some thread + I had a cup of hot tea ready for her as soon as she arrived back home which was greatly appreciated by her. the snow on both sides of the street were as high as her shoulders she said + it is bad traveling on the side walk. her folks have not been over for most two weeks. Earle has had a cold time delivering his milk. his folks have been sick + they are both of them used up from being up so much nights with them whooping cough + most pneumonia.  winter is the worst time in the year to have that disease.
