PS I treated Mrs Bobbins as well as I knew how but there is no mistaking she has a very high keyed voice that would jar on any body with nerves. you will get there sometime where your nerves will ntoice it a terrible tiresome woman. Ma

Stoughton January 22nd 1935

Dear Folks, 
Some more mild temperature it has been stormy all the week. Sunday it began to snow & has turned to rain so now it is very icy in the street & paths. after it clears it will grow cold. radio says a cold wave on its way, by night. I hope your cold is over by now. 
Mrs Osborne went to Bessies, she called her up on the phone yesterday afternoon that Earle was coming after her. she had pluerisy in her side from being up & lifting the children nights. all three have had whooping cough. they have been very bad, the little one came near pneumonia she could not raise to throw it off. so had to be given an emitic every time. warm weather is the best time for whooping cough she came home after I had been to supper. all there was to eat was bread so I toasted it & had a cup of tea. today I was bound to have her make an apple pie, so pared & sliced apples she is baking the pie now. I am sick of so many puddings. I never see many pies these days. they are old fashioned, but Pa & I were very fond of pies Oh! for the good old days that have gone never to return in this world. I think this year is bringing
