Institute on Race Relations
770 Columbia Road N. W.
Washington, D.C.

Dear Tom,

This is formal notification to you and to the Executive Committee of the Institute that we are resigning our respective offices as Vice-President and Treasurer of the Institute on Race Relations, as of September 1st, 1947.

Our resignations are due to the fact that personal responsibilities in connection with our business and home are too great and time-consuming to enable us to continue as officers of the Institute. We feel the posi-tions should be filled by people who have more time to devote to the active promotion of the Institutes's work.

We remain enthusiastic friends of the Institute On Race Relations.

Yours sincerely,
Leon Kanegis
