Nice + pleasant this afternoon wind gone down. Suppose you folks are gone for a ride. This is the first pleasant Sunday we have had this month.
Sorry you had your early spring flowers picked, nothing seems safe these days, its not safe to appear on the street night or day + things are growing worse for want of work, people are crazy for money. I never want to be alone here nights + thats what she told thank Reynolds last night when she told him she wouldn't go down to the church at night to practice a solo. "Well what do you think of my mother? She is alone there in the woods night + day." Well its not right she said she might be robbed or murdered there all alone." I wonder what will become of him after she passes on she cant live forever she is 84 years old now he may have a wife guess he will miss her he is a "sissy" always been babied.
Laura wanted me to go to Brockton with them Friday afternoon but I didn't feel like sitting so long in the auto while they shopped, it was rather cold + my back was bad but she said never mind I will come + take you some other time + it will be pleasanter. Mrs Barry told them all about your writing + they got interested + said they would like to read it if you succeeded in having it published. She told them its was fine + she understood more than she ever did before about bugs. Ma
