healthier Easton is full of Pneumonia cases. Lots have died of the disease this winter. I am anxious to hear from Kidders family. they were all sick the youngest one they took to the hospital the only way to save its life their doctor said. it is growing much warmer as the day advances. the snow is also melting. it does seem so good to see bare ground at last. for two months + most three it has been covered with snow. the bulbs have been kept warm. I hope the forcithias will blossom, also the buttercup bush. they did'nt last winter. our lilac buds have not begun to swell. but Lena brought the forcithia branches in. they are coming out already. so I guess they did not suffer. I must close to give her the letter to take with her. Ma

PS
I found this paper in a writing desk of Pa's. togather with some envelopes. so I made use of it. envelopes I have used from time to time. Lena got me some like those you sent x mass downtown. Ma
