PS This morning is sunny + warm. it looks like a nice day to follow, but may change to cold weather by night. I shall be serving up stairs in the morning busy. I am getting out three nighties I don't need one as I have plenty one I never wore this one is yours
radio says we are to have it cloudy + colder later in the day snow in some portions

Stoughton February 8th 1935

Dear Folks.

The day is cloudy and warmer South wind it looks like rain. but I hope not, it would make nasty going. it seems good to have it warmer. we have had a cold week of zero weather. another old schoolmate has passed away Marilla Whiting funeral is today. she was 83 years old in my class at the old school. at High School was in Hattie Southworth's class. Susie Orr's mother she is blind. so they are going one by one. it rests with the Allmighty to say when. Hattie Smith called me up again last night again. she says she is coming down sometime to see me soon. I told her to come any old time. Sundays I was here alone. I only wish I could walk as I could once. Mrs. Osbornes folks came to see her Friday night after I had gone up to bed. for his wife + baby came first + then Bill + Flossie neither knew the others were coming. they were greatly surprised to find them here. the little boy is a little darling so good natured. his parents are good dispositioned Dorothy married a good man. she is Mrs O's youngest child the only one born in this country. Bill is the best one. he has no children, he takes care of Flossie. she is smart in intellect like all hunch backs. they come to her for advise
