The State of Mississippi. Monroe. County

An article of agreement between Henry M. Dillingham and the undersigned Freedmen and Women and their Dependants or Family.  The said Henry M Dillingham agrees to give the said Freedmen and Women one tenth part of the present growing crop consisting of corn fodder, potatoes & wheat, the said Freedmen agree upon their part to continue to work with the said Henry M Dillingham on his farm or plantation until the twenty fifth day of December next at any work or labor they may be directed to perform by the said Henry M. Dillingham and the said Henry M Dillingham binds himself to feed and clothe said freedmen and furnish them houses to live in as he has formerly done while said Freedmen belonged to him and also furnish medicine and attention in sickness to said freedmen and their families and the Families for the included of said Freedmen are to work and labor as they formerly have done and be subject to the orders of said Henry M. Dillingham for their Vituals and clothes until the twenty fifth day of December next 1865 to all of which we have hereunto set our names and affixed our marks this 8th day of August 1865.
