Dear Diary,
Today it was school-only 17 people were in the six grade room. It was cold today. I lost 5¢ in the morning. It is cloudly tonight. The men didn't work today. We didnot get any paper today. We had soft ice-cream. I worked in the candy story today.

FEBRUARY 16

Today it was school. Mrs [[?]]Hiyle[[?]] was here today. I sit with Evelyn G. in Science and when she went to get a book Billy Epling came and sit by me It was cold today. I work in the candy story again today. Mother is not well!

Big Dipper tonight
Dear Diary
Today it was school. We had a air-raid (praies) about 5 mins to being 12:00. It was not very cold in the evening. It was very windy about 9:00 P.M. Evelyn Oliver & I took care of the store. Big Dipper tonight. I did not hear Jack Armstrong today.

FEBRUARY 18

Dear Diary,
Today it was school. Timmy O'Conner & I took care of the store. It was warm today. I saw the Big Dipper & Orione tonight. I brought the store keys home. I put them in my pockit and forgot them.
