Today it was school again. Daddy and the men planted tomatoes today. Mother got only 18 eggs today. Big and little dipper out tonight. [very bright] Jimmy was here today. I like him better now. You could said I loved him because I like [[scratched out]] him that much.

Today it was school again. Jimmy was here today. It rained today. Planted tobacco, watermelon, canter. Mother got 21 eggs today. Big & little dipper out tonight.

MAY 29

Today it was Saturday. Daddy and the boys went to Marlboro. Daddy went to the corner and did not come back until 11:30 P.M. Mother got only 17 eggs today. Big and little dipper out tonight.

MAY 30

Today it was Sunday. Franklin, Robert Lee, and I went to Church and Sunday School. I went to Aunt Maggie's today. Big and little dipper out tonight. Mother got 17 eggs again today.
