JULY 23

Today was Friday.  Got up about 6:43 p.m. played some games. It was very hot today.  Daddy got 3 cows today.  Daddy and us children to Aunt Maggies.  Uncle Len had ? up the croquet set.  Mother got 21 eggs today.

JULY 24

Today was Saturday.  Men worked half a day.  Daddy out.  It was "Very Hot" today.  Franklin & Robert & myself set away to Sears Rowbook & Co. Franklin - saw mill book, Robert - tent, & me - croquet set, writing paper & some gum things.  23 eggs today.

JULY 25

Today was Sunday.  No one came today.  It was Very hot today for sure.  Mother got only 22 eggs today.  Lots of stars out tonight

JULY 26

Today was Monday and was it hot!  No rain.  Daddy & Franklin, Robert Lee went to Waldorf.  The men are cutting hay today.  Mother got 22 eggs today.  Lots of stars tonight
