Today was Wed. and was it hot! The men are cutting tobacco today. Daddy out. We got some flour today. Mother got only 18 eggs today.

Today was Thur. and still hot. Daddy & boys out. We got some lambs today. Mother got 22 eggs today. Wrote to Norman today. 

AUGUST 13
Today was Friday and still hot. Today was Franklins birthday. Uncle Gantt & Aunt Florence went town it [[in]] evening but not to party. Aunt Lucy & Uncle Charley down to birthday party. Mother got only 19 eggs today.

AUGUST 14
Today was Saturday and hot! Daddy and Robert Lee to Corner and Harry's. Daddy out. Mother get 24 eggs today.
