JANUARY 8
1944 - Saturday and no school.  Daddy to Brandywine & corner.  No eggs today.  Even though D.V.S. is not here I can see him in my mind.
1944 - Monday.  Didn't go to school.  Lots ice on ground.  went to mailbox & back.  wrote to Aunt Lucy.
1945 Tuesday and school.  Library club meeting.  Last to Mt. [[Kainder?]]-
1947 - Wednesday & school.  Mr. Reeder here today.  warm out.  Katie and "Jeffie".  Educational movie 7th period.
1948 - Thursday & school.  Spanish test.  Raining. lessons 2nd period.  Movie in Spanish class on Argentina.  Turned in Budget III (3) in typing, Glee Club 7th period.

JANUARY 9
1944 - Sunday - to church and Sunday school.  Daddy & boys out.  Brent Early & wife today.  Got 1 egg today.  Still like D.V.S.
1944 Tuesday and school.  game 12th grade boys & girls.  [[boys?]] won ??? w-w- and am I glad.  Tommy here today.
1946 Wednesday and school.  cold & rainy.
1947 - Thursday & school.  Cold out.  Algebra test.  Mr. Reeder here.  He is very nice.  Worked in Library 6th period.  Glee Club 7th period.
1948 - Friday & school.  Read aloud in Spanish.  Movie in Physics.  Library 5th period.  9A over 9B in basketball 12-26.
