1944 - Friday. Half-a-day school because of rain & sleet. D.VS. was here today still like him very much. Daddy to Maggies

1945 - Sunday. warm out. Daddy out. no one here except Baker. 

1946 Monday. no school because of snow. To Aunt Maggies & Corner. Saw Halliday. finished making the cat (Turkish towel) cold.

1947 Tuesday & school. warmer (40°F) Mr. Reeder here today. Aunt Katie, Jeff, & Cousin Bessie in afternoon.

1948 Wed. & school. very cold out. rained all day long. Mr. Reeder at school but did not see him.

February 12
1944 - Saturday. ice & snow out today. very cool. Daddy & boys to Maggies, corner, H.H. Daddy drunk. Mother got 2 eggs today. Still like D.VS.

1944 - Monday and school. Patch test today and boy was the Dr. good-looking!!! Tommy here.

1946 Tuesday & school. cold out. Lin Conners birthday. Math test. Library Club meeting. Daddy to Marlboro.

1947 Wednesday & school. Movie 5th period on "Prisoner of Zenda" with Raymond Massey & Ronald Coldman. very good. warmer Mr. Reeder here like him a lot.

1948 Thursday. No school today because of icy highway. Heard Guy Lombado Show & etc. cold.
