1944 - Wednesday and school. Handed in my dress to Miss. Freeman today. No more school until April 12.(after today). cool outside. Saw Emily + Rex.

1945 Thursday and school. cold & windy fixed fence. cut cedar post

1946 Friday & school. cold. Clubs 4th period. Library [[?]] 3rd. O'Neil in evening and his wifes son.

1947 Saturday. Cold & windy. Daddy & boys to Benedict. Gantt and Henry in afternoon. Henrys 21st birthday. Heard usual radio programs.
 
1948 Monday & school. Library club meeting 6th period. warmer out. Typed 7th period.

APRIL 6

1944 - Thursday - bailed hay today. Gilbert Townsend droven last night. (He was my Sunday School teacher). warm out today.

1945 Friday. and school. cold Lambert started cutting lumber on highway.

1946 Saturday. Army Day. 82 Airborne Divi. marched in Wash. D.C. today. warm but windy. Daddy & boys out.

1947 - Sunday. Easter Day. to church, Aunt Minerva's. Aunt Minerva spent day with us. hot (85 degrees F). Heard usual radio programs.

1948 Tuesday & school. Spanish test. Mr = Williams brought Franklin home. Saw Mr. Reeder today.
