1944 - Monday and school.  hot today.  planted watermelons today.  Freddie & John here.  don't feel good.

1945 Tuesday and school.  test on Australia 1st period  8 & 12 grade boys played 12 won 5-4 finished no 12.

1946 Wednesday & school.  Most of the people to march for Field Day.  No work today.  Daddy got boys.

1947 Thursday & school.  Algebra test.  Mrs. Dickerson absent.[sic]  Movie on baseball 6-7th periods.  Mrs. Allidson gave me music lessons today.  cool out.  Mr. Reeder here.


MAY 16

1944 - Tuesday and school, very hot today.  Freddie & John here  Mother got only 6 eggs today.

1945 Wednesday, and school.  Most of the people went to March.  Mrs Brown, Mavis & Dyson went, Freeman Cennick asbent [sic] but Mrs. Eliot taught us.

1946 Thursday & school.  Music lesson.  Got in fight with Miss Guard 4th period.  Movie tomorrow.

1947 Friday & school.  Glee Club 2nd period.  Library 3-4th periods.  Game with Oxon Hill 6-7 periods.  Gantt & Florence.  got me a camera.  got Sears order.  cool out.  Ronnie at school.
