1944 - Sunday. very hot today. Mr. Simmons & son-in-law, Mr. Dixon in morning. windy at nighttime.

1945 Monday. warm. Daddy & boys gone all day. started reading West End Verse.

1946 Tuesday hot. Daddy & boys out. Got tennis racket & etc. Heard Evening with [[bomberg?]].

1947 Wednesday. helped to graze wheat. hot out. Heard prize fight of middle-weight championship. [[Grazined?]] one. Tony Zale of Gary, Indiana.

1944 - Monday. hot today. I don't feel very good. Daddy and boys to ice plant.

1945 Tuesday. rained all day. cleaned up my room and washed the floors.

1946 Wednesday. hot. played tennis. Daddy & Robert Lee out. Heard Watergate Concert & The Wheels Turn 

1947 Thursday. started cutting hay. rained about 5:30 pm. hot out.
