1944 - Sunday. Mother sick. Aunt Lucy + Uncle Charlie for day. rain (storm) tonight. Daddy out late.
1945 Monday. hot and sunny rain in the afternoon. Daddy & Robert see out. Bond's hay in the afternoon. Jack worked today.
1946 Tuesday. Mary Carter cut my hair today. got Franklin stamp [[?]]. talked with Charles LaForge over phone.
1947 Very hot today. (92°F) to Uncle Charlie's office. Mr. Chestone + Miss Ashley were there came home about 1:10 p.m.

1944 - Monday. cool today. Daddy sold some land [[?]] the place today. Aggie + Aunt Katie here about 8:30 p.m.
1945 Tuesday. shower in the afternoon. got tobacco from the Badens barn. Daddy & boys out. hot.
1946 Wednesday. Aunt Lucy + I went out to dinner as Uncle Charley wasn't here. Daddy called up in afternoon.
1947 Thursday. rained. hot. Saw the movie "The Huthches" with Clark Gable. To Alice's in the evening to play cards. home around 12:30 p.m.
