1945 Tuesday. I found Jappy (cat) dead this morning Franklin buried her. canned beans. brushed my hair. Jameson with radio about 8:30 pm

Wednesday. All except mother to Seaside Park. Mayor McKeldin spoke. saw Betty Young & Becky Connick. nice out.

Thursday. cool out. men worked on barn. took tobacco to Waldorf.

Wednesday. To Marshall Hall for day saw Donald, T. Smith, Paul, Richard C. Pickeralls, Sessons, & [[?]] [[?]]. very hot.

Thursday. Bucky Smutt, Hopkins & Bornice. rained in evening. 
Daddy got some sugar.

Friday. misty out. Daddy & boys to Waldorf for day. Heard "Break the Bank, Highways in Melody & etc."
