SEPTEMBER 14

1944 - Thursday and school. Got out at 1:00 p.m. because of Hurricane. rained all day.

1945 Friday. rained hard just as we got off the bus. Had Music, Saw Mrs. Vassals today she came to school (Brandywine) with Mr. Vassals.

1946 Saturday. Cold. Daddy & boys out all afternoon till 10 p.m. Daddy drunk. Mr. Outten was killed by a train yesterday.

1947 Sunday. spent all afternoon (until 9 pm) with Aunt Minerva. Mr & Mrs. O'Neil, Mae, Robert & Aunt Maggie in afternoon. very hot. daddy & boy out.

1944 - Friday and school. Donald Van Sickler didn't have any lunch today at all. warm today. Mae & Robert. Daddy & boys to corner

1945 Saturday. rained. Michigan & Great Lakes played football Mich. won 27 to 2. Daddy & boys to Brandywine in morning.

1946 Sunday. Aunt Lucy & Uncle Charlie, Cousin Laurie, Franklin & me over to Aunt Minerva's & [[?]] place. cold out.

1947 Monday & school. Library club meeting 7th period. rainy. Keeney (piano tuner from Annapolis) & his father in afternoon. Heard Voice of Firestone, Dr. I.Q."
