APRIL 28
Friday
Good day all day. Robert + I to school. Robert went on class trip. carried 1 ton of hay away. [[?]] [[Brooks?]] for hay. well go to Via's at night. I went to dance at [[Agri---?]] Brokeup with Judy McPherson, and sorry but maybe it is The best. Billy + [[?]] + [[Art?]] + [[Ma---?]] got home from dance at 1:oclock.

APRIL 29
Saturday
good day. carried load of tobacco to [[?]] and [[?]] picked and harvested tobacco one all day. went up to [[?]]. Went to Marlboro in afternoon for some shoes and overalls. saw Judy McPherson up their. Went fishing at Indian Head, got home 3 oclock Sunday morning. Via, Kent, Rob and I.

Sunday
Rainy day all day. I took Bob, [[?]] Mary, + Mrs. Via up to see Mrs Via's grandmother at [[Mittletown?]] Maryland on the other side of Frederick. got home 6:oclock. [[Bob?]] Robert, and I went to movie at Waldorf. saw "Frances." called Judy up at night, saw her at movie.

MAY 1
Monday
Good day. [[?]] striped and harvested tobacco all day. Robert stayed home 1/2 a day to help hack tobacco. I went to school all day. Took down tobacco at [[school?]] in the morning, [[?]] [[?]] [[?]] called Judy up at night. started [[?]] time on [[?]]. Mary at work as usual.
