Tuesday Good day all day. Robert and I to school, planted tobacco in afternoon. Bob [[?]] over in afternoon, him and I to movies at Waldorf at night, got home 12 oclock, called Judy up from Bob's. also called up Peggy Dixion. Hot weather.

May 31
Wednesday
fair day. Robert and I to school 1/2 a day, planted tobacco in the morning before going to school, I went to Marbloro to play baseball & go to speaking contest, got home 10: o'clock, called Judy up from Morboro and also Bob, Via, Raining in afternoon. 

May 30--DECORATION DAY or MEMORIAL DAY (except in few southern states).

Thursday
Good day all day, men picked and hacked tobacco all day. Robert and I to school, Daddy and I carried load of tobacco to market [[crossed-out]]to[[/crossed-out]] in the afternoon. called Judy up, went up to Bob's. [[crossed-out]] varnished [[/crossed-out]] Varnished the living Room floor at night. got to bed 11:oclock.
    
June 2
Friday Good day all day. Daddy to Waldorf in morning to see tobacco sold. I carried mother to Washington to get a rug for the hallway floor. Went to school 1/2 a day. daddy disk land by new farm in afternoon. I went to Marbloro. called Judy up at night. I was made Maryland Farmer, so was Bob.
