JULY 17
Monday fair day all day. Trashed 4 loads of wheat we had inside before dinner. Had Ned [[?]] opened up the rest of [[?]] over by [[?]] and down by old house. I went up to Adina Mays at night played checkers until 11:30, nice Girl. Bob went to watch television. Hot 102°

JULY 18
Sunday good day all day, I fixed pen in field for cows, and [[?]] tobacco all the rest of the day. Robert & Daddy carried [[Butler?]] down on Crane Highway, called Adina May up at dinner time. Colonel [[?]] bought 1 ton of straw $20.00 carried straw over on other place & put in barn. Hot. 98°

JULY 19
Monday Good day all day. raked over potatoes in morning, Mr Williams to sell me. Carrol & [[?]] to get hay & straw. opened up rest of wheat and hauled in all of it. Went up to Adina Mae at night and played Baginetes & Canasta. got home 12: oclock. Hot 101° cultivated tobacco.

JULY 20
Tuesday good day all day trashed out all the wheat we had and finished baling straw. striped tobacco in afternoon. Men cultivated tobacco. had Ned Halkings and he gave us some plumbs. carried Adina Mae a sackfull full of plums in afternoon. did not stay long, but she wanted me to [[[?]] come & get rest of straw. raining at night. Mr Davis of R.E.R. was here
